Tori Lee Averett

Tori Lee Averett

Tori Lee Averett is the department chair and an associate professor within TROY's Department of Theatre and Dance. An accomplished performer, director, choreographer, writer, musician and teacher, Tori brings a strong commitment to collaboration and integration within the arts. She holds a bachelor's in music education and theatre as well as a master's in vocal/choral music education from ߲ݴý University. She also holds a MFA in playwriting and poetry from Georgia College.
Quinton Cockrell

Quinton Cockrell

Quinton Cockrell is a professor at ߲ݴý University and a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College and The Alabama Shakespeare Festival's Professional Actor Training Program. He has worked with numerous theatres throughout the United States as an actor, director, and playwright, including Riverside Shakespeare Company, Westbeth Theatre, Soho Rep, and the John Houseman Theatre. His writing has been selected as a finalist in Oregon Shakespeare's Ashland New Play Festival and The O'Neill Center's National Music Theater Conference.

Juniors and seniors majoring in Elementary or Secondary Education can apply for up to $1,500 in scholarships to fund their education.
